DescriptionThis lamp, made of 'Fayoum fabric' (drab brown clay with lime and fine gold mica or biotite inclusions) has a moulded leaf pattern on the handle and with multiple nozzles for wicks around the outside. On the base is the maker's signature. There are now has two filling holes in the flat middle of the lamp, but there may originally have been a third central hole which has been patched in clay of a slightly different colour.
