DescriptionLarge oinochoe (jug) decorated in polychromatic slip paint with a frieze of six warriors wearing helmets with round shields, some carrying weapons. This appears to be made by a local Italic Peucetian workshop which worked in the region between Bari and Gnathia in Apulia. It imitates the shape of Greek vessels from Corinth or East Greece, but is decorated in a local figurative style.
