DescriptionEach side of the wine cup (skyphos) shows the same scene between large palmettes. Herakles, wearing his lion skin, uses his club to attack a fleeing Amazon, who is dressed and armed as a hoplite warrior. Attributed to the manner of the Haimon Painter by Beazley.
