DescriptionAlbertonia is a primitive teleost, a group of fish that evolved during the Mesozoic to become the dominant fish of our oceans, lakes and rivers today. Like many primitive fish of the Paleozoic and Mesozoic, it is covered with thick rhomboid-shaped bony scales.
