DescriptionThis oil flask (round aryballos) is decorated in black-figure techniqe with a row of five warriors, each carrying large circular shields and wearing Corinthian crested helmets. In the background are rosette motifs. This type of decoration was common on Corinthian aryballoi. The vase is dated to the Early Corinthian period.
