-I put in the inscription that it is Hindi, but I can't really tell because the font is a bit different than I am used to, do you mind confirming?

This silver gelatin and watercolour portrait is of two Indian merchants wearing turbans and white outfits. There is a backdrop in the background and tables with plants beside the men. The image has an intricate lace trim and the sticker on the bottom, right identifies the photographer as D. Nuserwanji, a photographer opperating out of Bombay as early as 1900 and, at least, as late as 1928 when this image was taken. This portrait is important as early painted portraits from India are hard quite rare, making this an excellent example of early attempts at colourizing photographs with watercolours.
