DescriptionThis specimen was captured in the mountains of northwestern Peru by a joint interdisciplinary team that included ROM scientists. It was recently described as a new species and named in honour of ROM Assistant Curator Erling Holm, who through his fieldwork provided numerous specimens for taxonomic research on the poorly known South America fish fauna.
