DescriptionSet of insignia badges for the front and back of the pufu (overcoat) of a 7th rank civil official (mandarin duck). Blue-black satin embroidered with silk floss in peking knot outlined in couched white cord. Left-facing bird on mound in wave border with frothy billows and striped lishui (deep water); clouds, bats and buddhist symbols in background. Fret border of couched gold thread.
