DescriptionSet of insignia badges for the front and back of the pufu (overcoat) of a 7th rank civil official (mandarin duck). Navy satin embroidered with silk floss in peking knot stitch with white cord outlines. Left-facing bird on mound in billowing waves with buddhist symbols; peonies and peaches grow from rocks at sides; sky filled with clouds and bats. Border of embroidery bats and shou characters.
