DescriptionRight and left halves of an insignia for the front of the pufu (overcoat) of a 9th rank civil official (paradise flycatcher). Navy satin embroidered with silk floss in knot stitch. Left-facing bird on a mound in billows with buddhist objects; peaches and peonies grow from rocks at the sides; clouds and bats in the sky above. Border of embroidered bats and shou signs with gold thread.
