DescriptionInsignia badge for the front of the pufu (overcoat) of the wife of a 2nd rank military official (lion). Black satin embroidered entirely in couching. Right-facing lion with head turned left is appliqued and embroidered with couched gold thread and green and red silk cord. Appliqued sun in couched silver thread bound down with bright pink silk. Wave border and clouds of paired couched cord in blues, greens and dull mauves. Border of fret in couched gold thread and lotus with tendrils in couched cord in pinks and greens.
