DescriptionAppliqué Bible Quilt depicting 6 scenes from the Life of Joseph, each used twice, with titles above them: Joseph sold by his brothers; Joseph's drinking cup found in Benjamin's sack; Joseph goeth up to Goshen to meet his father; Joseph going to interpret pharoah's dream; Moses found by pharoah's daughter. The border incorporates flowering peas into its design. Quilted sun rays surround each scene while flowering vines meander over the rest of the field. Worked on white cotton in a variety of scraps of material both cotton and wool in a large range of colours. Lightly padded, backed with white cotton, edged with white cotton with red piping.
