DescriptionSet of insignia badges for the front and back of a man's pufu (overcoat); civil rank of the 3rd degree (peacock). Blue-black satin entirely covered with embroidery in silk floss with peking knot stitch outlined with couched white cord, and background filled with couched gold thread. Left-facing bird on mound in billows that contain Buddhist symbols; peaches and peonies growing from rock at sides; clouds and bats. Border of tendrils and shou characters are in couched gold thread against a background filled with blue peking knot stitch. Front halves sewn together.
