DescriptionInsignia badge for the front of the pufu (overcoat) of a 2nd rank civil official (golden pheasant). Black satin embroidered with silk floss and metallic thread in satin stitch and couching. Bird of white glass beads with legs and beak of couched silver thread, appliqued to square. Left-facing bird on mound in billows above couched gold and silver striped lishui (deep water); horizontal bands of blue clouds in satin stitch worked horizontally. Buddhist symbols in couched gold and silver thread. Sun of coral beads. Border of bats and Shou characters in couched gold and silver.
