DescriptionWorn as a shawl for warmth, this child’s blanket is similar to larger blankets worn by Navajo men. The colourful pattern was achieved by a simple tapestry weave in which the weft interlaces only in the desired colour area to create the pattern.Typical of early Navajo blankets, the woolen yarns were obtained from local and imported sources.
