DescriptionThe dress required careful planning and measuring before the textile was cut. It is made out of one textile printed vertically (warp) with thin blue stripes and a single border of delicate roses printed in 8 or 9 colours along one edge (selvedge) of the textile. The border print was cut off and carefully arranged around the bodice and the two skirts. The ensemble required approximately 14 yards of material to realize the design.
