Description

Marcus Salvius Otho was Emperor for about three months, during the Year of the Four Emperors, 69 AD, a very unsettled time for the Roman Empire following the death of Nero.

A coin made of "billon" is ostensibly a coin of precious metal (silver or gold) but which is greatly debased with copper or copper-alloy.
