DescriptionThis modelled vase, known as a 'plastic vase', was a form of alabastron which probably contained perfumed oil. It is in the shape bust of an archaic-style woman wearing a peplos dress. This vase was made in a two-part mould, with the front and bak moulded separately and then joined. Details of the face and dress were painted in slip.
