DescriptionThe design of a bouquet of roses tied with ribbon is surrounded by a meander of rose buds, and a wide rose garland border. The latter is intended to hang down at each side of the chair seat and match when stitched together at each corner. Between the meander and the garland borders two small rectangles indicate where the back supports of the chair were intended to fit. All the outlines and some details are gilded.
