Object History: Acquired from Dr. T. J. Meek in 1952. The find-spot of "Beisan" is marked on the vessel. The site is still known by the Arabic name of Beisan, but also Beit She'an, in Israel, which was the ancient Scythopolis, "city of the Scythians".
