DescriptionYazdigird I ruled uneventfully for 21 years, but this coin struck in his reign did have one memorable event: it was turned into a pendant by having a small loop attached. Judging by the placement of the loop, the face of Yazdigird was not the focus of the pendant, however, it was the depiction of a Zoroastrian fire temple on the reverse.
