DescriptionThis Pre-Columbian mantle fragment is made of cotton and camelid fibre in interlocked tapestry weave. The design consists of yellow octagons on a crimson ground, bordered on two sides with small masks in red and yellow, with triangles and stepped frets in blue, yellow, rose, red and gold on a yellow-ochre ground.
