DescriptionThe same scene is shown in black-figure technique on each side of this skyphos. Between large palmette motifs, a naked, older bearded man propositions a younger, clean-shaven man wearing a cloak. The older man uses the traditional hand gesture commonly found on Greek scenes of homosexual courtship, with one hand gesturing to the chin and another to the genitals. On the wall behind the couple hang two wreaths.
