DescriptionSet of insignia badges for the front and back of the pufu (overcoat) of a 7th rank civil official (mandarin duck). Navy blue satin ground; design embroidered with silk floss in satin stitch and couched outlines in gold thread. Left-facing green bird on mound in billows above gold striped lishui (deep water). Closely filled background of clouds, bats, stylized flowers and buddhist symbols. Background and billows in blue silk outlined with couched gold thread; wave border of couched gold thread. Border of bats and shou characters.
