DescriptionSet of insignia badges for the front and back of a pufu (overcoat) of a 9th rank civil official (paradise flycatcher). Navy satin embroidered with silk floss in peking knot with couched outline of white cord, some satin sitich on bird. Right-facing bird (as worn) on mound in billowing waves containing eight buddhist symbols of happy augury; clouds and bats above in the background; peonies and peaches grow at the sides. Fret border of couched gold. Front halves remain uncut.
