DescriptionSet of insignia badges for the front and back of a pufu (overcoat) for the military rank of censor. This rank is symbolized by the xiezhi, a mythical animal with lion's body and dragon's head. Silk and gold tapestry (kesi). Animal is right-facing on a mound in the billowing and li shui (deep water) wave border; border contains two Buddhist symbols against a gold background. Meander border in gold on dark blue ground. Some painting.
