DescriptionInsignia badge for the back of the pufu (overcoat) of a 5th rank civil official (silver pheasant). Undetermined weave with design embroidered in silk satin stitch and gold couching. Left-facing white bird in satin stitch on mound in wave border against background of clouds, tendrils, and buddhist symbols, all in couched gold thread. Border of two variations of shou characters in couched gold thread.
