DescriptionSet of insignia badges for the front and back of the pufu (overcoat) of a 5th rank civil official, symbolized by a silver pheasant. Dark brown satin ground completely covered with embroidery in silk floss with knot stitch outlined with couched white cord. Right-facing bird on mound in wave border of billows and striped lishui (deep water) with precious objects; clouds and bats above; background filled with fret design in couched gold thread and peacock feathers. Fret border in couched gold thread.
