DescriptionSet of insignia badges for the front and back of the pufu (overcoat) of a 5th rank civil official, symbolized by a silver pheasant. Blue-black satin embroidered with silk floss in satin stitch. Right-facing bird on mound in wave border of billows and striped lishui (deep water) containing buddhist symbols against background of clouds, bats and fret design, all in shades of blue. Border of fret motifs in couched gold thread and blue lotus. Front halves uncut.
