DescriptionThis lamp is made of 'Bubastis ware' (dark grey clay with some mica specks) from the eastern Nile delta region. It is modelled in the form of a bearded man with wrinkled skin and a wreath on his hair, perhaps representing Silenus. THe handle at the back of the head is broken.
