DescriptionThis smoking pipe bowl was recovered from the Thomson-Walker archaeological site in Simcoe County, Ontario. Occupied during the second quarter of the seventeenth century, the site was a palisaded Huron-Wendat village containing 20-30 longhouses. It appears that this pipe broke during the manufacture process; although it does have a bore hole, the bowl was left unfinished (i.e., not fully hollowed out).
