DescriptionAthenian amphora (wine jar) decorated in black-figure technique. On one side is a pair of cocks facing each other, and on the other is a pair of lions facing each other. On each side of the neck of the amphora is the bearded head of a man facing left. On the underside of the vase is the remains of a dipito mark and graffito. Attributed to the Painter of Vatican 309 by John Hayes.
