DescriptionSet of insignia badges for the front and back of the pufu (overcoat) of the wife of a 2nd degree civil official (golden pheasant). Blue-black satin embroidered with silk floss in satin stitch and couching. Right-facing multicoloured bird on mound in billows with some buddhist symbols above gold striped lishui (deep water) in couched gold and silver thread; clouds and taoist symbols against quatrefoil background in couched gold thread; sun of coral beads. Border of lotus and scrolls in couched gold thread.
