DescriptionBeginning in the late 1860s, Graf wove on a wide jacquard loom acquired from the United States. It produced doublewidth coverlets without centre seams as well as figural designs which were more to the fashionable tastes of the times. The Cherubim pattern cards may also have been acquired in the United States. Double-weave coverlets are reversible, with a dark design on one side and a light one on the other.
