DescriptionSet of insignia badges for the front and back of a pufu (overcoat) for a 3rd rank civil official (Malay peacock). Black silk satin embroidered in silk floss. Separately worked bird in polychrome embroidery applied at centre above waves on a cloud filled ground with a spray of peaches to the left and narcissus at the right and an applied red sun disc in upper left corner. Fret border on all sides.
