DescriptionThis textile was dyed with indigo, a process that requires many dye baths in order to achieve the dark blue colour. The tie-dye pattern was created over seeds that are encased by stitches. The whip-stitch resist is seen in the areas that were rolled. When the stitches were removed, the marked out area remained white, leaving a fishbone appearance.
