DescriptionInsignia badge for the back of the pufu (overcoat) of a 5th rank civil official (silver pheasant). Black satin embroidered in couched gold and silver thread, varied by the use of red, green, purple and grey threads to bind down the couched thread. The bird and sun are appliqued. Left-facing bird on mound in billows against background of clouds and taoist symbols.
