DescriptionInsignia badge for the back of the pufu (overcoat) of the wife of a 6th rank military official (panther). Blue-black satin embroidered in knot stitch and couching. Right-facing animal is on a flat-topped mound in blue and white billows with lucky objects and lishui (deep water); waves worked in knot stitch and outlined with couched white cord; clouds and animal worked in same manner. Mound, bats, and flowers growing from rocks at the sides outlined in couched gold thread. Fret border of couched gold thread.
