DescriptionSet of insignia badges for the front and back of the pufu (overcoat) of the wife of a 7th rank civil official (mandarin duck). Dark satin ground embroidered with silk floss in peking knot stitch outlined in white cord. Right-facing bird on mound in billows above striped lishui (deep water); clouds, bats and buddhist symbols in the sky above filled in with couched gold thread. Fret border in couched gold thread. Front halves loosely joined.
