DescriptionHoops and crinolines operated as armatures to support voluminous skirts without the weight of layered petticoats. The shape of the crinoline and the costume had to directly correspond. This crinoline is constructed in concentric steel rings that lie flat for storage and packing. When hung from the waist, it creates a small circle for the wearer to freely move within.
