DescriptionThe thin-section of this sherd is a recognised group from Samarra, Siraf, and also Yemen, which has been tentatively attributed to Baghdad given the documentary evidence of a production centre at this site and a model for Tigris-Euphrates sedimentation based on analysis of ancient ceramics from across the region.
