DescriptionCeramics of this style were made in Syria at a number of sites such as al-Raqqa, Aleppo, and Damascus. The ROM purchased it from Vester and Co. in Jerusalem in 1910. Although there is no record of a specific findspot most of Vester's objects came from then Palestine, especially from sites near Jerusalem, and also from southwestern Syria, although a group of similar wares was purchased by Vester in Aleppo.
