Description

This element of a plate and chain suit of armour would have covered the torso. The circular disc style of armour has its origins in Central Asia.

Although the exact location of production is unknown, it carries the tamga (an ancient Turkic symbol) of the Ottoman Imperial Arsenal at Hagia Eirene in Istanbul hammered into it.
