DescriptionKitab suwar al-kawakib al-thabita (Book of Constellations or Fixed Stars) by Abd al-Rahman al-Sufi (d. 986), Persian translation of the original Arabic. Written in nasta'liq script, the text describes each constellation, displays the information on individual stars in a table and presents the figure twice, as seen on a celestial globe and as seen in the sky. The opening shows Barshawush (the constellation Perseus) as observed in the sky.
