DescriptionFew utilitarian quilts have survived the wear of constant use. This one was made from scrapes of hand-woven material. When cloth was scarce, a quilt was often constructed by working from the centre outwards. The availability of fabric thus determined the overall design. The back is of plain yellow, and the whole is quilted in a fan design.
