DescriptionThis ceramic sherd from Fort Albany, Ontario, comes from an English tin-glazed or 'Delftware' earthenware vessel. The white glaze covered both the interior and exterior and has a pink tint to it. The exterior is decorated with hand painted blue on white floral motifs. This type of ceramic was at its peak in popularity in the 17th and 18th centuries.
