DescriptionThis ceramic sherd from Fort Albany, Ontario, comes from an English tin-glazed or 'Delftware' earthenware vessel. The white glaze covered both the interior and exterior, and has a pink tint to it. The exterior surface is decorated with hand painted linear motifs in blue. This type of ceramic reached its peak in popularity in the 17th and 18th centuries.
