DescriptionPart of a wooden tomb model of a type popular in undecorated tombs during the First Intermediate Period and Middle Kingdom.  It probably represents a circular brazier from a butcher's shop. The brazier has three projecting triangular points which support the hanging cauldron. Both the brazier and the sides of the cauldron are painted a dark brown red. This colour may inidcate a vessel made of Nile silt.  The top of the cauldron is painted white with a red border
