DescriptionPaul Kane collected the pouch during his journey west between 1846 and 1848. It was part of a collection of artifacts collected by Kane and transferred to The Hon. G.W. Allan of Moss Park, Toronto, when Kane delivered his cycle of oil paintings in 1856. The bag remained in the Allan family until this acquisition by the ROM.
