DescriptionArtist Seyni Camara is internationally renowned contemporary artist who works in clay using traditional hand-building techniques and firing methods. Her work is inspired by a personal spiritual vision, and it comments on various aspects of interpersonal and family relationships in the context of Jola culture of southern Senegal. Large and visually complicated, Camara’s sculptures are one example of the growing body of contemporary art works found in private and public collections in Europe and North America.
